Tips so you can avoid freak outs when your body does that thing that it's never done before.
First of all, congratulations! Welcome to mommy hood! If this isn't your first bundle of joy, then congratulations anyway!
Our talented esthetician Daniela is a new mommy to a beautiful baby boy and we thought what better way to bring in some mommies than to educate you all on some body changes you may be going through.
It's scary, we know. The average person loses 100 hairs a day, but during pregnancy you were losing way less than that thanks to those hormones of yours. So, now that its over, your body will have to compensate and lose extra hair for the first six months after delivery. Don't freak out though, it'll go back to normal in no time!
What to do in the meantime? Wash it, brush it, and throw in some Olaplex! Treatments like Olaplex are great for building stronger and healthier hair. Visit our friends at Nicole Noel Salon for some hair goods! Or follow them on Instagram! (@nicolenoelsalon)
It happens! Because your body is going through so many different changes, the products you may have loved before the baby, could be reacting very differently now. The trick is to be careful about how you treat your break outs. Its about balancing cleansing, treating, drying, and hydrating.
What to do?
Keep your hands off your face to prevent the breakout getting any worse. You want to treat to defeat, not destroy.
Change your pillow cases! You'd be surprised with all the germs on that thing, plus you'd be surprised at all the sweat and dead skin cells on there. For brownie points, silk pillow cases are known for great hair days, and even better skin!
Clean those makeup brushes! I know, especially as a mommy, you don't have time to do those things but it's so important to either stay away for your makeup (which we know you don't want to do) or clean those babies.
Your baby oven got bush?
We know shaving seems like the easier option but it's also an option you'll be doing more often.
Why you should be waxing:
Your schedule is only tighter now that your family just got a bigger so why not prolong the hair removal? Waxing pulls hair from the root so boom. Long, lasting smoothness. Speaking of smooth, waxing means never a nick on the knee, or a quick slip around the ankle! For some folk, it even allows their hair to grow thinner, but you don't know until you try!
